Xenophobia: Tiwa Savage pulls out of South Africa concert

Nigerian female singing sensation, Tiwa Savage, has announced that she will not be taking part in a festival organised by South African company, DSTV, slated for 21st September, 2019, owing to the ongoing xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

Savage made the announcement on Wednesday via her Twitter handle, @TiwaSavage. The singer said, “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK.

“For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”

Tiwa Savage joins the list of Nigerian celebrities that have condemned the attacks on Nigerians and other Africans in South Africa.
